“We really like our neighborhood, but our house doesn’t really fit the way we live. Is there a way to connect the Kitchen to the Family Room and create more living space?” My response: “yes we can”, and that’s just what we did with this 1970’s vintage colonial house in Bath. Now whether they are preparing meals, doing homework, or relaxing in the Family Room, this family has the space they need and the togetherness they want. Limited back yard space and zoning restrictions were a concern on this project too, but with careful design and a well organized presentation to the zoning board, we were able to meet their goals while still being sensitive to the neighbors.
The new design provides:
- Openness between Kitchen, Breakfast, and Family Rooms
- Lots of natural light
- Views of the back yard
- More Kitchen storage and counter space
- Island with Breakfast Bar
- Updated lighting
- More welcoming Garage entry area
- New Home Office on the Lower Level
