Portfolio: A Place for Family and Friends

This home began as a typical ranch, but over time Rick & Christy Stich realized they wanted their house to better reflect their own welcoming attitude to friends and extended family. To do this, we opened the wall between the Kitchen and Family Room and added a Breakfast Room with plenty of windows. Now people and conversations can flow from the Family Room to the Kitchen, and Christy can keep an eye on the boys and the big screen TV. And lingering over morning coffee is even more inviting surrounded by views of the yard.

The results of the renovation include:

  • Kitchen opened to Family Room to connect the living spaces
  • New Breakfast Room with better views and natural light
  • Island provides place for guests to linger in the Kitchen

  • Space for coats and other gear at door to Garage
